CAPITEC SPREADS THE LOVE WITH PAY ME

Thanks to Pay Me, you have a quick, safe way for Capitec clients to instantly pay money into your account.

In a world of all things love, one of the best things is being made to feel special in a way that really makes a difference in your day. Capitec’s Lyle Khan and Chandre Matlala set out on a mission to do just that!

Armed with roses and their Capitec app, they headed into the heart of the city to surprise random clients with a flower and a cash token of appreciation from SA’s Best Digital Bank.

Typically, one might be concerned about carrying cash, but getting paid now couldn’t be simpler – thanks to Capitec’s new Pay Me feature. The innovative function simplifies the process of receiving the gift of R150 in a super safe and simple way.

All the receiver had to do was go into Pay Me on their app to generate a personalised QR code. It’s a quick, safe way for Capitec users to receive payments instantly from other Capitec users.

That’s right, there’s no more need to remember or scramble to find one’s account details. All that is required is to simply scan the unique Pay Me QR code on your app or a print out.

“Thank you Capitec for the surprise and R150. It’s made my day much better and I’m looking forward to going out to enjoy it,” comments Phumlani Kango, one of the recipients.

Another Capitec client, Amanda Tuso comments, “The QR Code is very nice. I always have my physical copy on me as I use it for my side hustle business. Most of my customers are Capitec users, so this makes my life easier to make payments and for people to pay me as well.”

With lots of love to give, Lyle and Chandre didn’t forget a rose for their dedicated fellow Capitec employees like service consultant Nonkosi Blandile.

“Thank you so much. This was a very pleasant surprise. It’s always wonderful to see our team,” comments Nonkosi. After which she shares how much Capitec clients are enjoying the Pay Me feature because of the convenience of making easy and secure payments to one another free of charge.

Nonkosi adds, “Once you have generated your QR Code on your device you are welcome to visit a Capitec branch in one of the major metros to collect a lanyard and print out of the QR Code.”

Going the extra mile to add this service is yet again proof of the bank’s commitment to simplify banking and their dedication to enabling their customers to live better.

Activating Pay Me not only reduces the cost and inconvenience of paying someone in cash, it also reduces the risk of entering the wrong account or cellphone number when making a payment. To get started today, click here.
