Come along as we get to know DHL Stormers Rugby Player, Seabelo Senatla and how he powers up in life as Amarok South Africa’s brand ambassador.

Seabelo Senatla is a South African rugby player that hails from the sunny area of Welkom. This Blitzbok is renowned for his pace on the field and his hard working mindset. The now DHL Stormer, always strives to go the extra mile, whether mentally or physically.

The bronze medalist is known for his pace on the field and is melding his power on the field with Amarok as Volkswagen’s newest brand ambassador joining Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as the new “face” of the Amarok.

Seabelo perfectly fits Amarok’s brand motto of ‘Know your power’ and embodies the brand’s traits in speed, strength, intelligence, character and power.

The power player is set to represent as the face of the brand for the next three years and the partnership will see Seabelo sharing inspiring personal stories of his confident power to succeed in many roles.

Those that have come to know Senatla, speak highly of him.

“The reason we connect is because he is a really deep, thoughtful, introspective person,” explains Murray Ingram, Director of Connect High Performance Centre.

“He is destined for great things once again,” says Ingram.

For many professional athletes, their sporting careers have a limited lifespan but fortunately, Senatla has already started pursuing avenues that will give his career longevity.

One of these avenues is wine. Senatla partnered with Idiom Wines to release the first of the Idiom Signature Series of bespoke wines, “Glory.”

“The reason why I got into wine was primarily to cater for after rugby life,” explains Senatla, “rugby is not forever, and I should have something that is going to continue after the rugby subsides.”

Another reason that motivated Senatla to pursue a career in wine is to encourage people to celebrate life.

“The reason why I got into wine is to let people know that celebrating should be a part of life,” he explains, “Glory tells you to sit down and enjoy the moment.”

When life gets busy, Senatla always finds time to chill out with friends, celebrate with some good food, good wine, and good company.

We follow Senatla as he heads to Chefs Warehouse Tintswalo Atlantic to meet with friends.

The restaurant has partnered with him to produce a food and Glory wine pairing.

“Chef’s Warehouse Tintswalo Atlantic is a fine dining restaurant [that] is tapas inspired,” says Jacques Grove, Sous Chef at Chefs Warehouse Tintswalo Atlantic.

The restaurant offers eight dishes that are inspired by the local cuisine and with being on the edge of the coast, the restaurant draws inspiration from the ocean that is evident within their seafood dishes.

Rugby and wine are both South African gems and Seabelo is a legend in the making as he proudly champions both these assets.
