The Eastern Cape is where Ami was born and raised, more precisely in the Ezinyoka township just outside Gqeberha. We invited her to explore the lodge which is an award winner just like her – having won Best Game Lodge in the Eastern Cape from the Provincial Lilizela Tourism Awards.

“The whole feel of the lodge is designed around having as small an environmental impact as possible. Everything we do is to fit with our very green environment around us, that includes all of the natural wood tones, all of the shapes and dimensions of our lodge is designed to fit into the flow of our landscape,” shares Neale Howarth, Conservation Manager, Pumba Private Game Reserve.
The renowned private game reserve is home to a wide variety of exciting game viewing and has been able to set itself apart from the rest due to its uniqueness as well as its many conservation efforts.
In addition to the intimate game drives, you can expect a fully functional health spa, to try your hand at archery, photographic drives, night drives, bass fishing and bush walks.
The reserve is also home to one of the few known free-ranging, self-sustainable populations of White Lions in Southern Africa, some of which are wild born. This is thanks to special conservation efforts and has helped put them on the map.
