FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THAPELO MOKEONA'S LATEST VENTURE, MOLITVA

We head to The Cradle of Humankind to taste Mediterranean flavours with actor turned restauranteur Thapelo Mokeona.

South African actor, presenter and producer Thapelo Mokeona has recently expanded his career into the world of food by opening a Serbian-inspired restaurant in the Cradle of Humankind.

Molitva is a mere 3km’s from a Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve, and specialises in fresh, organic, homegrown fruits and vegetables.

Founded in collaboration with friend and chef Milan Cerimaj, their mouth watering menu is inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean so mezze and tapas styled foods are the order of the day. They also offer a diverse selection of tantalising alternatives like homemade pasta, salads, grills and a variety of appetizing burgers, for those looking for something different.

When asked about their choice of location, head chef Milan Cerimaj comments, “Because it’s nature, it’s outdoor, it’s The Cradle of Humankind, and it’s the best of Africa.”

Thapelo adds, “We spend so much time in the city, this is a great destination to escape to.”

Surrounded by the green, lush countryside and mountainous views, this restaurant and pub is the perfect setting for a day out with the family, a romantic date or a time to kick back and relax with friends.
