DISCOVER HOW VELDSKOEN BECAME THE OFFICIAL OFF-FIELD SHOE OF OUR NATIONAL TEAMS AT THE TOKYO OLYMPICS

Meet the faces behind Veldskoen and hear the story of how three friends have breathed new life into the leather vellie.

Veldskoen has been selected as our official off-field Olympic shoe this year and will see their veldskoene worn by our Olympic and Paralympic athletes at this year’s opening ceremony in Tokyo.

First made by Dutch settlers in the 17th century, the resilient leather ‘vellie’ is a part of South Africa’s history. Recently however, when Nick Dreyer and Ross Zondagh enlisted the help of old school friend and digital Marketing expert Nick Latouf, the traditional shoes were upgraded into exciting modern fashion. One that now counts Ashton Kutcher and Mark Cuban among its high-profile investors and users.
