TEBOHO ‘CADDY’ TSOTETSI CHANNELS HIS GOGO’S OLD SCHOOL WORK ETHIC INTO A HIP INFLUENCER CAREER

GQ 2021 Best Dressed of the Year award winner and proud Capitec client, Teboho Tsotetsi, gives us an urban styling masterclass.

Growing up with the old school values and the work ethic of his grandmother who raised him, Teboho ‘Caddy’ Tsotetsi dreamed of being the host of a TV show. Having ‘studied’ media, he took the leap of auditioning, landed a top 50 countdown gig and became a major, new influence on the scene.

Today he wears many hats, which includes TV personality, digital content creator, youtuber and fashion consultant. He’s passionate about delivering fresh content and his appreciation for fashion ensures he stays on top of his game when it comes to the latest trends.

Caddy’s flair for putting wild looks together and making them fly, has earned him serious cred, including the GQ 2021’s Best Dressed of the Year award. So, we were only too happy to accompany him to one of his favourite stores as he demonstrated what he looks for when shopping and how, with the help of basic styling principles of colour co-ordination, one pulls together a bold aesthetic.

A long-standing Capitec client who’s been with the bank for over eight years, he put their innovative tools to full use when paying his bill, with the use of Pay Me.

“Capitec is easy to access and has features that easily suit my lifestyle, in terms of Pay Me, Scan to Pay and all-round ease in paying beneficiaries. All my friends are with Capitec, so it’s very simple to send money back and forth [without having to first load beneficiaries on the app],” shares the influencer.

Capitec’s new virtual card is the ultimate in digital convenience, and it’s waiting for you on the latest version of the new Capitec Bank app.

It’s specially designed for safer online shopping and scan to pay purchases, and you can load it on all your favourite apps such as Uber, takealot.com and MrD for quick and seamless purchases and payments.

Caddy’s now working on a social media campaign around the lessons he’s learnt. He shares his vision for himself and approach to his success.

“I want to be the voice behind the work, inspire people, and always be out there doing my thing man. All these things that I do are a formula for creating one’s success at the end of the day – which is putting together all the arts that I do and build a super saiyan ball that I can toss into the world.”

As he’s big on goals and pursuing them relentlessly, he has a few parting words of advice for us – which is to write down where you want to go and how you will get there.

Let Capitec help you on your journey, starting with a chance to win a R1000 live better cash prize. Simply reply to the competition post on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram profiles using #LiveBetter. The competition closes Sunday 20 March 2022. Ts&Cs apply.
