We had the pleasure of speaking to Crystal van Reenen, Capitec’s Talent Acquisition Manager, about the bank’s human-centric approach to serving their clients. It’s an ethos they’ve fostered by using the same approach with their team.
“At Capitec, we always look for individuals that can totally own being the CEO of their role. That means always putting the client first, acting with energy and taking ownership,” shares Crystal.
She adds, “We’re lucky that people really want to work for the organisation. We’ve got a fantastic business brand, so we seized the opportunity to expand on our employer brand. This started with showcasing a day in the life of our executives and sharing with people what our leaders do. We then went to hiring managers to gain insight into the skill sets they look for when recruiting new team members, and took it a step further by then speaking to the people that are actually working in these roles.”
