DISCOVER INNOVATIVE DESIGNS AND SOLUTIONS WITH ASHA:ELEVEN & CAPITEC

With the release of sustainable fashion label Asha:Eleven’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection, the latest digital payment options available on your Capitec app make shopping, supporting the cause and feeling and looking great, a simple qr code and a click away.

Raised on the coast of East Africa, Asha: Eleven’s founder and designer, Olivia Kennaway, saw the natural materials from which so much got made, the skilled hands which crafted the products and the communities they supported. This resulted in her fresh, sustainable take on fashion that is inspired to design and create forward-thinking and caring clothing which aims to reduce the negative impact on our planet and accept only fair production practices for the workforce of talented people behind the brand.

Now based in Cape Town, Olivia’s design ethos is simple; she creates inspired and beautiful things to make you feel inspired and beautiful. Her timeless, trans-seasonal fashion is made to last. For Olivia, less is more and with a few simple basics partnered with contrast statement pieces, you can transform and recreate your wardrobe whilst reducing over-consumption and wastefulness.

We join the Asha: Eleven team on one of Cape Town’s beautiful Atlantic beaches as they launch their latest collection where the fresh designs display talent and creativity.  For Sales Manager and Stylist, Linda Ganga , having practically every off-cut turned into a product of some kind means each dress treads as lightly as possible on the planet.

She goes on to explain,“What I love about the collection is that the designs are pretty much different from what we have had in our previous collections and the new designs are brilliant – nice, free-flowing, something you can wear any day, anywhere.”

Actress and model for the photoshoot, Texas, couldn’t agree more with Linda’s sentiments and believes we should wear our principals – and on that count, this range delivers. She shares, “I really appreciate her careful consideration of how she designs her pieces, as well as how conscious and self-aware she is about sustainability and the wellness of the planet.”

Once the day’s shoot was over, Texas couldn’t help but pay a visit to the Asha: Eleven store at the Watershed in The V&A Waterfront. After a browse, one item had stolen her heart above all the others in the collection. She had to add it to her wardrobe right there and then.

Giving Texas just the opportunity she needed to enjoy the benefits of having recently switched her primary bank account to Capitec. While she familiarized herself with the host of convenient functions on the Capitec app and the ability to open multiple savings accounts, the model admired the usability and ease with which she could now do her banking. As someone, who often forgets to take her bank card and likes to travel light, the simple scan to pay function, proved super quick and easy, as well as another way to further reduce any impact on the planet.

Dressing for summer should be about ease, as should shopping. With scan to pay working wherever you see a QR code, being a Capitec account holder is sheer convenience in so many ways.
