EXPERIENCE CAPE TOWN’S SKY-HI RIDE WITH DJ TIRA

DJ Tira found himself in Cape Town for a range of business engagements, so we seized the opportunity to spend the day with him at Hotel Sky and capture his experience of their Sky-HI Ride.
The latest addition to the South African hotel landscape, Sky Hotel aims to make a statement with its AI-powered robots, Instagram worthy backdrops, and state-of-the-art dining and entertainment offering. The latter being one that DJ Tira was excited to be trying while on his trip.
DJ Tira straddles his music career alongside his entertainment (Afrotainment) and events businesses. No surprise that he’s got a busy schedule, but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the full or facing his fears for that matter.
“Firstly, it’s very important that I enjoy my life. That’s why I love traveling, seeing places, eating good food and entertaining people,” shares the Durban-born DJ.
He adds, “I’ve got 22 years in the music industry right now. Discipline has played a very important role in my career. Without it, I wouldn’t be where I am right now. I live life to the fullest, but I have limits in place that guide me to make sure that my life is organised, relaxed and easy.”
When presented with the opportunity to try the gravity-defying ride that towers 35 meters above Cape Town’s City bowl and drops free-fall at 100KM per hour – DJ Tira leapt at the chance.
“It was amazing! I don’t think I’ll do it again, but I’ve done it,” he exclaimed after the exhilarating experience.
That was just one stop in his busy schedule, which included meeting with potential new collaborators and recording new material in the studio. He does not slow down for a beat in his creativity nor his career and Capitec ensures that with its digital offering.
